The inimitable George Peppard stars as police officer Frank Doakey in this made-for-TV movie. Doakey is investigating a series of murders that appear to be linked, but working as an honest cop in a corrupt precinct makes it tough work on the beleaguered cop. When he stumbles across a ring of gangsters who are involved in a kidnap and prostitution racket his job is made even harder, but fortunately Frank revels in his work, and proves his worth by rising to the challenge.
